Air Fried Chicken Parmesan

This air fried chicken parmesan will get you crispy, gooey, tender, juicy, cheesy, saucy, flavorful, chicken thighs cooked to perfection. This is one of my all time favorites and my whole family feels the same way. I recommend making this easy family friendly dinner to anybody who loves amazing food. I've had it cooked many ways but in the air fryer is by far my favorite.

  • Air Fryer


  • 3 lbs Boneless/Skinless Chicken Thighs
  • 16 oz Your Favorite Marinara Hunts is cheap and delicious
  • 1 & 1/2 cups Mozzarella Cheese sliced or shredded
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 cup Flour

Egg Wash

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt


  • 1 cup Plain or Italian Breadcrumbs
  • 1 cups Parmesan Cheese freshly grated preferred
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper fresh ground preferred



  • Mix dredge ingredients on a plate
  • Beat eggs with salt and pepper on another plate
  • Spread 1 cup flour on another plate
  • Take each boneless chicken thigh and cover in flour shaking off extra flour
  • Dip floured chicken thigh into the egg wash making sure all of the chicken thigh surface is covered in egg
  • Cover the egg washed chicken thigh with the bread crumb and parmesan dredge and push the crumbs into the egg so the crumbs stick well
  • Place breaded chicken thighs on a piece of wax paper
  • Repeat for the remaining chicken thighs

Air Fryer

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes
  • Spray the hot air fryer basket with olive oil
  • Place breaded chicken thighs into the air fryer basket so there is room left for hot air to blow around each thigh
  • *Two or three batches if needed
  • Spray chicken with olive oil
  • Air fry at 370 degrees for 10 mins and flip the chicken using a cookie spatula and lightly spray with olive oil
  • Air fry 370°F for 6 minutes
  • Spoon 2 - 3 Tbsp marinara over each chicken thigh
  • Put 2 slices or ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese over each chicken thigh, sprinkle with Italian seasoning
  • Air fry at 320°F for 4 more minutes
  • Use a cookie spatula to slide under each finished chicken parmesan and move to a plate to cool for 5 minutes before digging in
  • Serve with pasta, noodled zucchini or carrots and a salad
  • Put a chicken parmesan between two halves of a toasted bun to make a chicken parmesan sandwich
