  • 2 bunches Cilantro leaves chopped

  • 2 tsp White Wine Vinegar
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Granulated Garlic garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Granulated Onion onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper fresh ground

  • Dice one head of garlic, small chop one large yellow onion, thin slice 3-4 large jalapenos with the seeds, and chop 2 bunches of cilantro
  • Add garlic, onions, jalapenos, and cilantro to a 1 gallon zip lock bag or large mixing bowl
  • Add 1 tsp granulated garlic and granulated onion, 1.5 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper, and 2 tsp white wine vinegar to the garlic, onions, jalapenos, and cilantro
  • Zip the bag closed and shake all of the ingredients together or if using a bowl, mix the ingredients together well

Slice and Marinate the Chicken Breasts

  • Slice the chicken across the muscle fibers 1/4 - 3/8 inch thick
  • Add the sliced chicken to the marinade and hand mix the chicken into the marinade very well so everything is covered well
  • Let the chicken marinate in the fridge for 4 - 10 hours

Skewer the Chicken

  • Clean garden sheers well and trim 4-5 paddle skewers 1/8 inch longer than the width of your air fryer basket
  • Skewer one end of a piece of chicken and slide it toward the paddle end of the skewer
  • Do this with another 3 slices of chicken to fill the skewer leaving room for hot air to flow around the chicken
  • Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil
  • Hold the paddle end of the skewer at the top of the closest vent in the air fryer basket and maneuver the other end of the skewer at the bottom of the opposing vent and slide that skewer end up the vent to lock the skewer in place
  • *The skewer should be bowed just a bit
  • Repeat these steps until all of the chicken slices are skewered and in the air fryer basket
  • Spray the tops of the chicken with olive oil

Air Fry

  • Carefully lift the air fryer basket and slide it into the air fryer
  • Set your air fryer to 170°F and cook for 2 hours
  • Once the 2 hours are finished, adjust the temperature to 280°F and air fry for 10 minutes to bring the internal temperature of the chicken to 160°F
  • Remove all of the chicken from the skewers to a warm plate
  • Enjoy your Jalapeno Garlic Chicken Jerky made in your Air Fryer
