Tzatziki Sauce

A rich flavor packed tzatziki sauce that will not leave you disappointed.

  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Cucumber Peeled and sliced into 4ths lengthwise, deseeded and shredded (cheese grater)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Granulated Garlic Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Zest 1 lemon zested
  • 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Dried Dill
  • 1 tsp Granulated Onion Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper


  • Use a cheese grater to grate 1 lemon
  • Juice that lemon
  • Peel the cucumber, cut the ends off, and cut into 4ths lengthwise
  • Use a tablespoon or knife to remove the seeds and shred the cucumber slices
  • Squeeze the water out of the cucumbers (I let mine sit in a strainer or colander for 15 minutes after I pressed water out with a tablespoon
  • Mix all ingredients together in a medium size bowl and let sit in the fridge for at least 1 hour


When we make Tzatziki sauce for gyros or shawarma, we use the leftovers for our salads or dipping veggies in for a snack.  Enjoy your Tzatziki Sauce!
