The time has come, my friends, for a new receipe. We are trying to stay consistent in posting, so hopefully you’ll be seeing a lot more blog posts of just food.
Although, we are currently still Social Distancing (it’s allll the rage in 2020, folks) and food tends to make us really happy – so that’s all we are going to be posting about for a while. 😉
INGREDIENTS
5 -6 large diameter Carrots
1.5 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Granulated Onion
1 tsp Granulated Garlic
1/4 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut the plant end and any root end from each carrot
I like to use a medium/large size zoodle blade and place a cutting board under the output side of the blade to catch the carrot noodles as they are cut
Push the large cut end of the carrot onto the handle or crank side of the spiralizer (we use THIS spiralizer and we love it)
Line up the root end of the carrot with the center of the spiralizer blade
With the spiralizer suctioned to your counter, use your dominant hand to crank the spiralizer and your opposing hand to push the slide toward the blade
Mix 1 Tbsp granulated onion, 1 tsp granulated garlic, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp black pepper in a medium size bowl
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees
Oil air fryer basket (we use THIS oil sprayer and it’s magic – I promise!)
Add carrot noodles to the air fryer basket, spray with olive oil, and air fry for 15 minutes at 400°F
Shake every 5 minutes and check frequently toward the end to make sure there isn’t anything burning *If there is burning, turn the temperature down to 350°F for the remaining time
Empty the cooked carrot noodles into the bowl with the seasoning and carefully stir ingredients to evenly season the carrot noodles
Plate the carrot noodles and serve with meatloaf and gravy, country fried chicken or steak, marinara…
